Marine Design Engineer

Ferguson Marine has an excellent opportunity for a Marine Design Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Design Manager, you will be responsible for the design and engineering of ships piping and mechanical systems, machinery and installations. 

You will align, collaborate, and provide expertise and technical information to Customers, Company Depts. and third parties (subcontractors, suppliers). Responsibilities will also include ensuring that deliverables comply with project requirements (specs, budget, time) and applicable law and regulations.

A detailed description of key responsibilities can be provided on request.

You will have an evidenced and recent background within the shipbuilding industry and recognised qualification in Marine Design Engineering. With relevant professional technical experience, within the Shipbuilding industry, you will also be experienced working within complex project environments within commercial businesses. Proficient expertise are a must in detailed engineering with Calculation & Engineering software; with 2D & 3D CAD software and Office software, especially MS Excel.
